The Concept
The current situation in crop production requires in agriculture higher efficiency of the machinery applied, universal combination possibilities with other machines and fast and simple transport. The wide range of the Solitair seed drills provides efficient machinery for the seed. The pneumatic seed drillsSolitair 8, 9, 10 and 12 are available in mounted, semimounted or trailed versions. Working widths from 3 to 12 metres are a precondition for an economic use in all sorts of farms. Apart from the combination with different soil cultivation implements the Solitair 8 and 9 can be used solo. The hopper capacity from 1,100 to 5,800 litres provides the optimal performance for each machine.
Conventional or minimum tillage
Depending on preceding crop, crop rotation, weather and harvest conditions a change of the tillage method can lead to considerable cost savings. Regarding this the Solitair meets all requirements for blockage free work and precise seeding. The Solitair with double disc coulters is ideal for minimum and conventional tillage. The staggered position of the double discs provides maximal distance betwwen the coulters. The depth control wheels guarantee precise depth guidance. After ploughing and seedbed preparation with power harrow, compact- or seedbed combination the seed is drilled by the Solitair solo or in combination with an implement. In humid and dry conditions the double disc coulter provides an optimal seed placement and coverage which is a precondition for highest emergences. An optimal drill combination for minimum tillage is the Solitair in combination with disc cultivators or compact disc harrows. These combinations are ideal for loosening of the complete width, intensive mixture, good reconsolidation and clogging free placement and pressing of the seed under the mulch. Additionally these minimum tillage combinations enable high working speeds on the field.
